Rickard D. Donovan, CPA/MST![]() Since 1968, Rick has assisted clients in growing and expanding their businesses or professions by sound auditing, accounting and tax advice. From 1968 to 1975 Rick was employed by a former Big 8 public accounting firm - “Haskins & Sells” as a member of their audit staff and tax department. He also guides successful individuals with income and estate tax planning. Rick earned a Baccalaureate in Philosophy and Masters degrees in Accounting and Taxation.
Gerald J. Sullivan, CPA/JD/MST![]() Gerry graduated from Boston College in 1970 and subsequently graduated from Suffolk University Law School. He obtained his Masters in Taxation from Bentley College. He worked as a revenue agent for the Internal Revenue Service for seven years before entering public accounting in 1977. Gerry specializes in tax services to individuals and businesses. He serves as the firm’s resource in dealing with federal and state tax authorities.

In 2003 he graduated from the University of Connecticut and entered public accounting by starting his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers. While at PwC he obtained his Masters in Taxation from Northeastern University and focused on Mutual Fund and Investment Partnership taxation (Private Equity, Venture Capital and Hedge Funds). Chris has since provided accounting services at two regional CPA firms where he focused on compliance and consulting services for partnership, corporate, individual, trust, estate, gift and international tax clients. Although Chris works with a range of clients including start-ups, well-established companies, small businesses, larger companies and a variety of individuals, he specializes in professional services firms, family owned businesses and high-net worth families as well as foreign issues (ie FIRPTA, FATCA and FBAR). Chris, his wife, and three boys live in Wayland, Massachusetts.
David E. Andelman, CPA![]() David, joined Donovan, Sullivan & Ryan as a Manager in August 2016. David is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts at Amherst with a degree in Accounting and has been a licensed CPA since 1992. David has the benefit of having worked in large national and regional firms to the close knit atmosphere of a local firm. For the past 20 years, before joining DS&R, David was working for a local CPA firm providing tax and accounting services to closely held businesses and high net worth individuals in a variety of industries. David’s diverse background and experiences will provide a great resource to Donovan Sullivan & Ryan. David lives in Holliston with his wife Michelle and their daughters Elise and Jennifer.
Joyce A. Foley![]() Joyce joined Donovan, Sullivan & Ryan in 2005. She has worked in the accounting field since receiving her B.S. in Accounting from Stonehill College in 1987. She specializes in helping both individual and business clients with accounting, bookkeeping, tax returns and QuickBooks issues.

She uses her twenty years of experience in insurance agency accounting to help manage and implement our insurance clients’ management systems. Bonnie is a Certified QuickBooks Pro Advisor and is able to set up and train clients on QuickBooks software. She works on-site in the offices of many of our clients.
Erika Borchert![]() Erika joined Donovan, Sullivan & Ryan in December 2015 as our Office Administrator, she comes to us with 20 years of experience as an Office Manager/Executive Assistant of a small local tax firm specializing in Taxpayer Representation. Erika, has many years of successful experience negotiating tax debt settlements (Offers in Compromise) with the IRS, as well ‘taxpayer friendly’ payment agreements and levy releases with both the IRS and MDOR.
