Rickard D. Donovan, CPA/MST
Since 1968, Rick has assisted clients in growing and expanding their businesses or professions by sound auditing, accounting and tax advice. From 1968 to 1975 Rick was employed by a former Big 8 public accounting firm - “Haskins & Sells” as a member of their audit staff and tax department. He also guides successful individuals with income and estate tax planning. Rick earned a Baccalaureate in Philosophy and Masters degrees in Accounting and Taxation.
Gerald J. Sullivan, CPA/JD/MST
Gerry graduated from
Boston College in 1970 and subsequently graduated from
Suffolk University Law School . He obtained his Masters in Taxation from
Bentley College . He worked as a revenue agent for the Internal Revenue Service for seven years before entering public accounting in 1977. Gerry specializes in tax services to individuals and businesses. He serves as the firm’s resource in dealing with federal and state tax authorities.
Michael B. Ryan, CPA
Mike has been in public accounting since graduating from the
University of
Massachusetts –
Amherst in 1976. He works closely with business clients to minimize their overall tax burden while helping them grow their businesses. Mike specializes in services to insurance agencies, especially in the areas of mergers, acquisitions and valuations. He has consulted to numerous agencies on the purchase structure and most tax efficient methods to acquire insurance agencies.
John F. Marino, CPA
John joined the firm as a Partner in 2005. He is a graduate of
Bentley College and has been a CPA since 1979. John brings a mix of public and private accounting experience to the firm, having been a controller and CFO for several large and small businesses during his career. In addition to bringing tax and accounting expertise to his clients, John is very experienced in the areas of planning, budgeting, acquisitions, sales and mergers and business consulting. His clients and work experience cover a broad range of industries, with particular strength in the professional services organizations area.
Anne L. Kraus, MBA/CPA
Anne joined Donovan, Sullivan & Ryan in October 1994. She has been a CPA since 1986 after graduating with an MBA from
Babson College with a concentration in accounting. She specializes in helping small business clients with financial statement preparation, accounting, tax and QuickBooks issues. She received her undergraduate degree from
Emmanuel College with a major in Math. Anne also acts as our in-house computer technician.
Sue has been with Donovan, Sullivan & Ryan since 1990 and specializes in assisting small business clients with tax, bookkeeping and accounting issues. She received her accounting education at
Bentley College and specializes in both the QuickBooks and Peachtree accounting programs. Sue serves as the sales tax and payroll resource for DS&R.
Bonnie Tyrrell
Bonnie joined Donovan, Sullivan & Ryan in February 2002. She uses her twenty years of experience in insurance agency accounting to help manage and implement our insurance clients’ management systems. Bonnie is a Certified QuickBooks Pro Advisor and is able to set up and train clients on QuickBooks software. She works on-site in the offices of many of our clients.
Barbara L. Martin
Barbara joined Donovan, Sullivan & Ryan in March 1999 after spending several years in the health care field. In addition to managing two Boston-based medical practices of internal medicine and orthopaedics, she served as the Occupational Health Coordinator for a
Boston facility specializing in industrial, corporate and preventative medicine. Barbara is the Office Administrator at DS&R.
